Enough?

Darling, you are life itself,

The warm smile of the cell that split

The zygote that in primordial ooze turned its head towards a scrap of matter

And delighted itself

The force of living that exclaims

“Yes! This sustains me, this made me”

And so joy was born

And so beauty was born.

And I am here in Queensland

In Godsland

Where the bushes burl

And the sky is alight with a menagerie

And two great orbs that rise and set each evening and morning

Impart their cinema on all around me

I am here in my house

Where there is a running water tap I can daub my wet mouth into

And drink sweet and clear

Cool or warm

And feel it jumble over each tastebud

Each lip’s pleasure bell

Each zygote’s happy blinking eyelid turning of head to the waterfall

Don’t you see there are waterfalls in the faucet

And lakes in your bathtub

And paradises of softness between your sheets

And infinite, infinite realms of bliss in your own innards

Each cell each eardrum each nostril each pupil each neuron each nerve each fleck of skin

Each and every sweet living one of you.
